Your favorite race

Based on how you've played in the last months and using the old race stats, which race do you prefer and why?

With the old stats, I like marten. Cashing beats every other strategy hands down. Cashing instead of fooding leads to 30% more final networth if you manage to hold onto your cash long enough.

Marten is probably best when going for a high finish, but I don't like its piddly leader stats (I usually find it difficult to even perform basic agressive missions like espy). Wolf is more solid and stable, so I usually play that. I've been able to get quite a few 3 top finishes and a win as a wolf (every finish in my sig except Firetooth!!!! is a wolf), but Marten can definetly make more net. I actually need to play a full round as marten...

Rat is epicsauce, as is Stoat as well, but Wolf is my favourite.

Wolf. It also has the most sentimental value, way back from DEX days.

In the original game, how many races were there? Like 3? Everyone used to be Fox.

There were four: Rat, Weasel, Stoat and Fox, I think. Fox was definitely the popular one.

Wolf for me, it may not be as good as producing net as a marten but you get a good solid leader defence and you can play aggressively (with leaders obviously) if need be

Wildcat is definetly the race I'm most interested though, not just because it was my RP race and first race, but because it can be great. Once it's balanced, I'll definetly play wolf a bit less.

Agree with you here, I did try a wildcat strat a while back but it wasn't great, I'll definitely try experimenting with it a bit in the following rounds

Wolf, it's a leader powerhouse. You can make more cash with a Marten, but a Wolf can usually steal all the cash. Rat can also be fun though.

yeah, wolf is literally the worst indy race possible. Low production, high costs in food and cash.
