Nope. So do tell who is he.(to lazy to google him)

Blood Wake

He's a musician that started in the mid 60's and was HUGE insperation on The Beatles while they were together, Lennon later produced an album for Nilsson (gurl Cats), and Ringo plays on many of his albums as do many other awesome musicians.

Nilsson's greatest success was in '71 when his Nilsson Shmilsson album came out with singles such as "Coconut" (Put the Lime in the Coconut song) "Without You" and "Jump Into the Fire."

The record label wanted him to do a similar album (which is interesting since every song on the album is a completely different in style, like his previous and later albums) but he didn't do what he was told and the next album didn't do as well, even though I think it's pretty great.

I think the main reason Nilsson never made it that big is because he never stuck to a style, in my opinion he was a better singer than any of the Beatles and the song writing is awesome but not up to par with The Beatles of course.

MANY Nilsson songs are in movies and TV shows, here is a list from the top of my head:

Coconut
"Everybody's Talkin'" - which I think was written for him to sing in his early days.
"Girlfriend" - which we usually hear as "People let me tell you 'bout my best friend"
"Me and my Arrow"
there's probably more, haha. can't think

also, he wrote "One" (One is the loneliest number) and he wrote the album and film called "The Point!" about Oblio and the land of Point.  the DVD version is narrarated by Ring Starr.

For some odd reason he isn't remembered today...

Hi Sean, do you know if John Lennon got the first line of "Nobody told me" from Nilsson's "Everybody's Talkin'"? Because they are almost the same! And I always get them mixed up...

Hmm, I don't know...

Most peculiar, mama

I'm currently in top position by a huge margin BUT I'm intentionally dropping down to the bottom.

Mhm... strange days indeed.

They always play that song at my work and then I had to ask Matt what it was called, but he didn't even know it. What a poo Beatles fan.
