How do we treat our passive friends?

Lots of people have different philosophies. Some people ignore passive players 'cause they're not worth the thought. Some are assisted by my frequent aid, trade and helpful tips. Many recognize the benefit to a neutral party, one that is reliable, and end up using my services as a mule, trade partner, and a loan shark.

Some are not so positive. Some are jealous of my ability to gain rank without resorting to violence.... Some are just blatantly disrespectful.

For those of you who appreciate what I do, please support it! Passive is a great strat, more people should try it, but they won't so long as people like briar are being completely rude!

Here's what I got ingame after she took me down to 15k (well below everyone else in the top 10, and it will cost me thousands of turns to scout back up)

Well, in choosing to be passive you take the good with the bad - there was no cause for her rudeness, but there is also no cause to be complaining about it ^_^

You can't be passively in a war.
I honestly don't remember the circumstances, but if your clan was at war with mine then...  eh.  I don't doubt it. 
Generally I like to pass net-destruction runs off to other, more bloodthirsty players.  But occasionally I do make them.  Especially if you're 'winning,' that just justifies the attack.

But yeah. 
Social justice...  for a player consistently in the top 3...
I mean, I'll take her land if she has some to take ^_^

War claw isnt Briar...

Ive thought about trying to be passive for a round, havent actually done it. But I usually try to help passive players however I can, being their mule, buying/selling troops and so on.

Need to restate then,
"Especially if you're 'winning,' that just justifies the attack."

If you're top 5 you can expect vicious attacks because people want your rank.  Especially on reg.
Also, iirc, it was heavily suspected you were aiding the other clan.  Could have been faulty intel, but it just as easily could have been true - and there's no way to confirm such a thing. 

Just a note, I never chose targets - it wasn't personal on my end.  Someone within the clan set a bullseye on you and I was in a convenient position to do it.  For the good of the clan and all that.

Neo got me, my Nero was peaceful for almost a full month when Neo tore me down.  Fortunately I'd just passed the 10 day mark for emp...  but yeah.  I mean.  War game and all that.

Soo...  I guess we can conclude that War Claw is either not-Briar or grumpy-Briar?

I thought Night Wolf told me war claw was briar. Either way I think we can confirm that War Claw is a bit of a jerk.

I understand people taking me land, or sacking me when they're hard up. But taking me down to 15k (none of which was sacking) seems to me like desperation. This person is clearly upset that I can succeed so easily while they fail.

I am disappointed to see a lack of support from people who appreciate my services.
