 i said that because i dont want many turns because if i do, i end up using it to get land and get land fat 2 fast and become a target

 No, not true. Attack, build market and barracks, loot. Then you won't be landfat, if you use the looting to buy troops.

 I always make sure that I have a /lot/ of money. That way, if I get attacked, I can recover without losng troops...
