Peace Alliance

I have never been attacked as much as I'm getting attacked this round. By now /most/ people know that Hidden Fox is passive, I message like everyone who hits me.

And yet it's not just land, This round I've been market thefted, and more recently suicided against! People, what the heck? Have you no honor? Do you really take pride in stealing from passive players? Eesh!

Briar

Well, your name is "Hidden Fox," so maybe some players think that you are the Emp. trying to pretend to be passive. (Yes, I realize that you send those messages out, but some may think it is part of the plan) Hopefully, since the Emp is "out of hiding" there will be no more attacks on you.
At the risk of ruining Briar's career by disparaging her find of the famous Sackaleaderer horse...

Yes. I wear high heels Krowdon. Any tips on how I should do my hair?

Marell

I for one haven't gone near you  :D  I say respect passive players.
I tried passive for a round, and it was good fun, but attacks of any kind hurt lol.

Peace Alliance

Well I'm not going to lie, I've considered changing my name to Peace Alliance... Of course that name comes with it's own set of values, and retal would be swift.

Luckily I am devoted to this passive style. When somebody see's Hidden Fox at the beginning of the round, they know for sure that they have 30 days they won't get attacked by that player. It's unfortunate that not everyone sees the true advantage of this! A truly neutral player to work with. A few have noted the advantage in the past, trade, aid, storage, things like that. It has been profitable. A lot more profitable then taking a mere 5k land (which takes me days to scout back) from a passive player. Or suiciding him to steal his - well defended  (and with defenses always raised) - resources.

Juska

I'll attack you if I can't break any other target without desertions, only happened once this round.

If you play passively, and stay under 10 Mil Networth the entire round, there's no problem. But the moment you start competing, you're fair game. I fail to understand how you can demand people play the game according to the standards YOU decide on. Hurrah for you and all the lovely things you do, but if there is an immediate benefit to taking your land, you will get attacked.

You're no more passive than any other player, because you're ranked as any other player. What's worse is when you get your cronies to beat up on someone because they've attacked you. That's more of a crime than someone who attacks and is only after your land.

Play as peacefully as you like, but complain and it makes me want to get nasty.

Then you don't understand the basic constructs of society, holbs. This is not the only area where there are rules of honor. There is a reason this game has clans with diplomacy settings; this game is social, there is a diplomatic element to it that I'm confident you are fully aware of. That you resent my networth sounds like a problem with jealousy.

Shadow

I don't attack peace because there are -always- better targets. Plus he's kind of OK I guess... ^_^
The only reason I could think to attack him would be if you are an indier at the end of your run and can't afford desertions and he is the only one in range. But eh.

On the other hand, Peace, you do take these risks when playing passive, and your alliances should be basedon diplomacy, not guilt tripping those who hit you. Lol.

Shame has been one of the most powerful societal boundary makers since the mid evil times.

Holby isn't Jealous, that's an actual laugh, he's an awesome player and he knows the way things are

most your networth is made by other people or just isn't destroyed because you cry over being attacked by Warlords

be passive means have a passive attitude

your lucky i can't attack your admin and i'm honorable enough not to wreck your passive player

i think you owe me an apology still for this other matter

Coding out holes in the game is the best way to do things.
Relying an the admins to patrol is a) time consuming for the admins in question b) unreliable c) only invites conflict
There is no conflict or "I didn't know any better!" excuses with a coded in rule.

Peace Alliance

Often my networth is from other people, that's true. But it's (usually) through nothing short of great effort that i set up and arrange trades or storage deals with people that benefit me.
