Firetooth

Suddenly Saver slowed, he motioned to Kare to be quiet.
"So yeah...that sounds good" Saver went on "hey, wait here, I'll be right back, ok?"
"Sure" Kare shrugged.
Saver slithered through the foliage, until he caught site of the ragged being. It was a wildcat, dark brown, ragged, his clothing and armour wripped, clutching onto a twisted spear. He had a sword sheathed on his belt, but he looked dangerous. Saver drew his sword carefully, sneaking. He sprang into action. Kicking the wildcat twice in the chest with powerful kicks, he heard a "mmph!" sound, but it wasn't enough to double him over. He smacked the flat of his sword down hard on his back, then used the handle to punch the suprised wildcat in the face. The wildcat retaliated, sending him sprawling with a flying kick. Saver was back on his feet fast, as the wildcat drew his sword. They circled each other, neither keen to make the first move.
Saver struck, but the Wildcat parried, thrusting and slicing his leg. Saver cursed, furthering the assault. His opponent was very powerful. More by luck then opporunity, Saver managed to disarm the wildcat after he made a clumsy slash, when he'd almost beaten Saver. Saver pointed his sword at his neck.
"Go on then, kill me" the Wildcat said, speaking for the first time
"No, tell me who you are" Saver demanded. No answer. He pushed the blade down on his neck, almost breaking his skin.
"Tell me"

I'm currently in top position by a huge margin BUT I'm intentionally dropping down to the bottom.

Ungatt Trunn II

"Who am I..." he laughed. "I'm Ungatt Trunn II, former soldier of the Northern Hordes. Son of Ungatt Trunn, once lord of the Blue hordes. Now do you mind removing your sword from my throat?" As his enemy stared at him, Ungatt was slowly reaching for a small nearby log that he planned to use as a club...

Saver caught the movement and snarled "drop that club or di-" he was too slow. The huge crack sent him flying back. Kare had heard the battle and rushed in though, and impaled ungatt by his shoulder to a tree with his katana. As Ungatt yowled in pain, Saver stumbled to hit feet, helped by Kare. He had a bloody mouth and bruised face from the smack. He angrily started kicking the impaled Ungatt, then calmed down. He sheathed his sword, and reluctantly snarled. "Good fight-now persuade me not to stick ym swsord in your other shoulder and leave you here for dead"

Ungatt Trunn II

Ungatt tried hard not to pass out from the burning pain and blood loss. He tried to remove the katana, only to be stopped by his enemies. "Well, I can fight. Thats all I can offer. I had training from my father as well as training from my days in the Northern Hordes." He cringed as another wave of pain shot through his body. "But if you're planning on enslaving me, kill me now."

Saver snorted, sheathing his swords. He paced around Ungatt for a few seconds, ignoring him. Then, suddenly, he pulled the katana out of his shoulder. Ungatt doubled up in pain. He handed it back to Kare.
"Very well-do you know where I'm going, what I'm doing?" Saver asked.
"Other then trying to kill me?" Ungatt snarled
"I'm from mossflower, or now, part of Vorgon's empire. He owns the northlands, Sampetra too. By the end of this week if I don't reach southsward, warn them and gather resistance, he'll own southsward too."

Kare watched the stoat and the wildcat figure out a deal. The little group still had the wasteland to cross over filled with treacherous types. The wildcat began gathering herbs to treat Ungatt's wound with.
"Here. If it still hurts, use this," Kare advised the wildcat as he handed over the fresh herbs. He moved to his perch and began sharpening his katanas.

((No, I'm not sure if I'd be able to play that part well. I'll be a badger, but not a leader. Is it okay if I roleplay as a badger and a wildcat?))

Ungatt Trunn II

Ungatt listened, sat down, and though for a few minutes before voincing his approval. "Very well. I'll come along. I ask for one thing and one thing only, once this is all over I want you to get me a medium to large sized ship, complete with crew." Out of no where, it started raining. Ungatt pulled out a cloak and put it on. "I'm ready to go when you are."

Kare sniffed. "Alright then, let's go warn the king and queen!"
The duo turned trio continued trekking south.

"Whoa..." Kare shielded his eyes as he beheld the vastness of the Wastelands. "I never thought it'll be that  big..."
Saver grunted. "It's the only thing separating Vorgon from Castle Floret. It's also their first line of defense. In the past, Vorgon didn't want to risk going through that place, but now, with more troupes, he can."

Nearing the border, heading for the place watched over by Captain Pike, was an...unlikely pair.
One was a wildcat. He had a jet-black pelt, and he watched his surroundings with azure eyes. He wore a deep-blue tunic, and two sheathes could be seen crisscrossing on his back, held on by straps that made an 'X' on his torso; a satchel, which held some food, hung from one shoulder. After discovering Vorgon's empire, he'd decided to join in; he'd become one of the lower officers. However, after several years of serving, he couldn't stand a lot more of seeing how somebeasts were treated. After a few days or so on the run, though, the only things that hadn't become ragged or dirty were his two dual katanas.
The other was a badger. Probably the only thing that made him stand out from other badgers was his hazel-colored eyes. He wore a dark-green tunic, ragged from being treated horribly and being on the run with this wildcat; a pack hung from his shoulders, carrying just about the rest of what they'd grabbed. When the wildcat had come for him in the night, he'd momentarily thought that it was over for him. The wildcat had freed him, though; after getting a mace from a newly-dead guard, they'd started heading south. The badger had refused any armor offered him, only carrying the mace in one paw.
After coming near the border, the wildcat growled, "Let's just deal with the guards here, okay?" Quixote quickly drew his katanas, ready for a fight with Captain Pike and his soldiers.
"Whatever," the badger muttered; he couldn't quite grasp that he was actually free, or at least very close to it.

((Was that too long?))

Night Wolf

A great silver wolf  garbed in a black tunic and plate-mail armor stalked the trio as the neared the wastelands. He was Night Wolf Leader of the fallen Shadow Wolves. He had fought against Vorgon in the fight for Redwall, hundreds of the noble Shadow Wolves gave their lives to protect the abbey but Vorgons forces were too strong. All but 5 were slain. Now Night wolf and his remaining four sought revenge for their fallen comrades.

Silently the five wolves emerged from the shadows behind the unsuspecting trio....

Saver kept walking, followed by Kare and Ungatt. He stopped and checked his water and food. He turned to Ungatt and Kare "how much food and water do you two have?"
"Food...water?" Ungatt groaned "haven't seen either for days" he clutched his stomach "Can I have a drop of water?"
Ignoring him, Saver turned to Kare, who had pulled out two canteens of water "no food though" he said.
"We each get a canteen" Saver said "take smalls sips. Suck on a stone if you can to hold your thirst at bay. We better move fast"

"How about resting in the day and traveling in the night?" Kare suggested. "At day we can ward off the thirst by sleeping and in the night, we probably will use less water and it is cooler then. I've crossed plenty of deserts when i was on the run from the army of a target. Some can get freezing cold."
