Why don't you just use the market?
Current Empires:

Shadow

The market doesn't get much exposure and charges a percentage commission on every sale. More profitable business means more funding for events :)

ohhh....i might do it....

What do you mean the market doesn't get much exposure? Just click the freaking button on the sidebar and boom your at the market page, ok and yes it's a 5% commission, but if you do it by aiding it costs you upkeep and turns. Maybe we should make the market link HUGE or something, do people really not even check the market?

The market doesn't get much action then, whatever lol. Point is that putting troops up there almost never sells, and if we you can save 5% by selling directly, then why not?

$16 food is a ripoff
you can buy at mercs for $10, and if that runs out (it always seems to last me as an indy) you can always just build 10-15k foragers.

I'm currently in top position by a huge margin BUT I'm intentionally dropping down to the bottom.

$16 is not bad, not bad at all... certainly puts me and my $25 out of business  :o

Mr.Grimm

I  used to offer food for I think  around  $13. I got tired of  it and stopped though. I might do it one day again though.

Market thefting is quite a bit of fun, if I do say so myself.  Sometimes I'll buy food if it's really cheap and in the past I've stored troops on there as well, but I don't remember ever actually straight up buying troops from someone else.  If I bought them, I was trying to market theft.
