Violin can't just be called "orchestral instrument"... It's a solo instrument, and is played throughout history, not just in orchestras.

And it's been used in the orchestra since the orchestra's inception. Your point being, what?

And, of course, I should remind you that there are plenty of Baroque cello concerti out there.  I'm working an arrangement of one of Vivaldi's cello concertos at the moment.

I can play any valved brass instrument, but primarily the Trumpet...been playing for almost 9 years now.  Just learned how to play Bass and in the process of learning guitar.  Can play a little piano but do better when it's just me and the keys...no written music cause I've never been able to read four lines of music at once.  :-\
