I think Where the fight would take place would truely be the deciding factor of such a battle. If on the pirates vessel the ninja would lose because he would be vastly outnumbered with no hidding places and yet if on land a ninja could easily pick off one pirate at time.

But either way i favor the NINJA!

Cannons face out toward the water.  If the battle took place on deck than the cannons would either a)have to be moved onto the deck from below or b)have to be turned on facing the deck and fired on deck, which would more than likely do more damage to the ship than any pirate.  The ninja would be able to move out of the way.

And what does "rule of the water" have to do with anything? Plus, who said that the battle took place on a pirate ship? It could very well take place on land.

I think all the pirate fans are forgetting one VERY important fact about their beloved buccaneers, which would be they tend to be a bit tippsy with the bottle if your catchin' my drift. :)

Thus they could hardly be able to see the ninja let alone shoot him.
