Random members

This board has close to 2000 members, and the most recent ones are always some random name that we will never see a post by. Who are all these people?

Most of them are names I run a Google search and find they joined 50,000 forums today, or i check their email and it gos to some porno or drug site, then I ban them.  Sometimes they post but your staff is really diligent to removing posts before people see them.

Just so people know, when on my computer I click the forums every so often to see if we have new members to check. We were getting a lot, but a lot less these days as I have most of their ips banned.

We should get a random character test to get rid of the automated advertisement bots

Yup... Spambots. We get them too from time to time over at FAF.

IP banning is going to be largely ineffective and catch a decent number of innocents as a result of things like proxy servers and the like.

Don't we already have a capta test for signups here?
