Brazilian striker Ronaldo overtook Gerd Muller on the all time World Cup scoring list, scoring his 16th World Cup goal in the fifth minute to begin the 3-0 defeat of Ghana. Adriano added his tally in first half stoppage time, and defensive midfielder Ze Roberto completed the scoring on 84 minutes. The scoreline doesn't reflect Ghana's attacking play and spirit, which at one point prompted a commentator to say, "Are Brazil wearing white today?" The Cindarella story for the African debutants came to an end, and Brazil face a tough match up in either Spain or France, who compete tonight. French skipper Zinedine Zidane could be playing for the final time tonight if France lose. He has stated his intentions to retire after this World Cup.

Glory, Glory, Man United!
