Skill Ranking System

 a skill ranking system is one that had been used in othwer promisance games... I've tryed it in several different servers, and i really think it would be a cool thing to have on the scores page.

a Skill Ranking System would give each warlord a skill ratio based on many different factors. I do not think that the skill ranks should decide your rank on the main rankings page (but obviously people could choose to rank by skill) however it would be a great thing to have there.

a skill ranking system would get people to start playing more efficiently in order to boost their skill ranking.

I suggest the the ranking system should depend on the following factors:
offensive and defensive ratios <- main factor
total OPs and DPs
Leader per acre ratio

making the offensive and defensive ratio the main factor would make it so people could have a longstanding skilsl ratio that is only slightly effected by their military and leaders. it would make people want to have higher defenses to bring up their skill ratio.

(i'm posting this, along with most my ideas,  in GD so that it can be discussed... generally.)

 How do we know what skill has what value? Like if I am in a market / amry strat and I have no leaders, my ratio is bad with leaders so I get no points for them. On the other hand, if I am all leaders and massing food, I have no OP or DP so I get no points.

How about this, (your rank added each "game turn day" / "game turn days" you have played this round = adverage rank)

 Because getting all that requires skill too. But I like it, that way you can see who really is the best at the game... sort of. Some people don't build towers and have a poor def. ratio, but are still ranked high for other reasons. So that should go into the skill rank too.

 Aww, come on! I have a TERRIBLE defense rating, but it doesn't mean I'm a bad player - it just means I'm balanced and massers can always get past me. XD

 yes volkov but the entire point of the skill ranking would be so its NOT based on networth.

they way i suggested would, would have it mainly based on your defense and offencee ratios, but if your massing leaders, then your good ratio boosts you, if your massing troops, then your good OPs and DPs boost you... if your skilled enough to be doing both, then both of them will boost you even more.

So, in your words, someone with 3mil net, 100% attack rate, 50% def. rate and full leaders has more skill than someone with 60mil net, 80% off. 5% def. and hardly no leaders?

Exactly what I was going to suggest....it shows who has been in the higher ranks consistently.

However, I would add a slight modification. Instead seeing what your "average rank" is, I suggest, you do it all in points. You gain 'x' amount of points for being in 1st every ten minutes I guess (goes with the turn clock). Than, the person in 2nd at that point would gain slightly less, and subsequently with 3rd place, so on and so forth.

ZAP! Promisance has something of this nature in place. Therefore, someone constantly in the top ten may win the skill points, but not the immortalization, in which the winner could have stored up. Get it?

Not a difficult concept, but it works

No, Juska, what i'm saying is that the skill ranking system isn't based on networth, because we already HAVE a networth ranking system... i donno if you've noticed this, but thats how the entire scores page is ranked... what i'm suggesting is a seperate ranking system that rakes skill, not just the skill to have networth.

 As said above, that may be hard to know what skill is based on by who thinks what is skill. Thus how we got the net worth.

If we were to have such a think, I think Death is going in the right direction. But the way to solve the problem would be to count how many active people are below a person. That way being third when there are ten people does not give the same credit as when there is 70 people playing. Then devide all that by game days played.

 There should be something that shows average rank at least.  I don't think anything complex will help.  Works by the warlord, not the account owner, so it resets each time you die or a new round starts.
