'Course, the original gauge is 44 years old
The newer ones have translucent numbers so they're cleanly backlit

Waiting on a 12v voltage regulator before I install it, the car's generator can send up to 14.5 volts and the little transformer the el light strand uses may or may not appreciate that...  not worth risking it
