You'd be surprised what supply and demand can push prices to. I think the minimum is fine, but the maximum should be raised to resellers can manipulate the system in times of dire need.

I have changed my indy strategy imensly.... My point is that as an indy, you cannot make any progress run to run, unless you have someone buy all of your troops off of the market every run. It's not worth it to support yourself and sell to mercs.

If you are absolutely set on not raising the merc prices then i beg you to consider the reserves like in faf, or something to that extent... Maybe even "sending a limited amount of troops out on a special mission and coming back 100 turns later" for a loyalty cost or something.

And the fact of the matter with the market thing is, you can never really stop people from passing troops over it...If you make your troops automatically appear at the market then that only fuels the way to go around the aid limits(duh!?).

We are going to play with the market commission percent so that passing net up will be a wasteful way to do it. So don't worry about that aspect of things.

You can't actually make very much progress run to run with any strategy in 3.0 unless you hold onto some of your land, or work as a team. That's pretty much the point. People have to play for the short term and be destructive instead of peacefully co-existing massing up net until the end of the set.

I think that you are just struggling to perform the indy strat as it was once known. If there was a viable way to run that strat right now then it would be like 5X as powerful as all the other strategies. They were all nerfed - that's how they were balanced.

Shadow

Now that people have land to work with, I would appreciate if people would revisit the question in the first post of this topic.

The thing is, and I know you will find something else to say about it because you have to every other thing I have said in this thread....I held most or all of my land for a lot of my runs since 3.0 was out. Even with major help from someone the indy strat seems so wasteful that its not even worth it. I switched to a wolf now to try that out, but i would appreciate it if you actually took some of the things i have mentioned into consideration instead of making other excuses and such everytime...

Indy will be getting a boost, both economically and output wise, next round.

I really love that you assume that because I disagree with you on forums that I don't actually follow up on what is said here. Please trust me that I do.

Most of the problems raised in this thread and others have been addressed and are ready to go in next round. I'll get around to posting details of what that actually means when there is about a week to go or so.

I would then appreciate it if you would pass this information on to me, and quit talking to me in such a condescending form then..

Certainly. I'll post the plan for next round in a few days when I am sure that we have it finalized. Expect it in the last week of the set :)

All of us are children in the eyes of volkov (he is really really old).

Well, whining, being a sycophant, accusing Shadow of all sorts of things which he is pretty clearly not doing. Yeah, I'd say those are the behavior patterns of a child.
