Making the game more playable

So, we're pretty decently balanced at this point, I think. Nothing stands out alone, teams are good, and lots of loopholes have been closed. Now is the time for fun new features. For those who might not otherwise see it because it's in spa:

I think achievements are still a good idea, I usually play games longer then I would usually because of them, and they can make people stick around, or try new strategies or tactics, eg. rewarding someone for spending 550 turns as two or  more races. *blatantly bumping previous suggestion*

edit: I said it would be best for reg due to the short-term nature of reg, but with global accounts you could incorporate it so as well as an ingame reward there's a hall of fame or something with your achievements listed.

Achievements are a bigger project than I would like to tackle right now. Random events is mostly behind the scenes stuff, which I am pretty good at. Storehouse will require a bit of display code/html, but not too much and I can piggyback other stuff. Achievements would require a whole new section and are mostly display, so I'd rather Peace tackle that one.

In case you don't know, I am abysmal at html, and mostly just try keywords at random until it appears more or less as I hoped.

Ok, well how about risk-reward random events? I know some other promis did random events similarly to these. Maybe you stumble across a group of mercenaries you can buy half price, but there's a 50% chance they'll desert so you waste the money. Or there could be dilemmas, eg. you catch a million rats deserting. You can execute them to raise loyalty, but you lose the a million rats.

Neat idea. Bit trickier, but I'll play with the system once it gets up and running.

What about having a particular Warlord from the books give a piece of advise every month or so to all the players.
