I also find it ironic that people want to do this because they feel Facebook have too much power, he'll if Google + becomes th new Facebook then google might as well own the Internet . . .

Monopolies are bad, just take a look at Microsoft and Yahoo and you'll see what I mean

Not in terms of social networking sites. You want all your friends on the one site, that's the point. Anyway, it's the consumer base that decides who monopolises these kinds of things.

Social networking monopolies aren't really bad, what I'm saying is that if Google had a social networking monopoly it would be bad because it would give them pretty much a monopoly over the internet (which should never happen)
