My new career

[Blood Wake]

So... the band Melodramus asked me to be their merch guy on tour and to eventually run the whole merch show. I figured that once the band gets signed to a major label I wouldn't be in charge of everything that has to do with running the merchandise relating to the band, but last weekend I had a meeting with the band's manager (Who has been in the game for about 40 years and knows the people who own Atlantic records and other labels while owning Song Haus Music himself, he also negotiated the deal between Dream Theater and Road Runner Records) and he says that he is in charge of everything Melodramus and therefore I am the merchandise manager to stay, I'll be making designs and buying whatever I think we should have and all that jive.

So yeah, I'm pretty excited. Soon we'll embark on a small US tour in which we will hit the Paul Green's School of Rocks since all three current members of Melodramus have taught at the Sandy City, Utah branch and apparently 2 of the 4 best bands of School of Rock graduates come from the Sandy branch.

After that we'll probably be signed to a major label and making plans to open for Dream Theater or someone else whose fans are our target audience.


Just a few other things I should tell you all:

The song "Black and Grey" is on the new Speed Racer : The Soundtrack and will be available for the Speed Racer franchise to use in all future TV shows, movies, or video games if they choose to.

There is now a music video by the band that is actually sung by the lead singer, you can youtube Melodramus “Suffer Like You” to find that. Also, the 80’s synth guy who sang the “Searching” video is no longer in the band, so, no more of that poo.

Anyway, I hope you guys will stop being so negative about this incredible group that I work for and consider buying “Two: Glass Apple” or multiple copies to give as Christmas gifts! Yeah!

Just out of interest, what is the genre of the music?

It's progressive metal with a bit of alternative rock and synthpop influence, overall an interesting and unique sound that is only described as Melodramus to fans. If you go look up reviews for the new album, you will not find a negative one, in fact you won't find one that is less than four out of five stars and that includes professional reviews.

Eventually we'll go to Europe and Japan since they would be into the music. Hopefully when the album is out worldwide it'll be big in other countries as well
