Contest: Best Clan Crier Notice

Details: Write up the best/friendliest/funniest clan crier notice. Remember that good notices describe what life in the clan is like, and/or any clan goals. They also try to be persuasive or memorable, so that your clan crier stands out amongst all the others and makes other players want to join your clan.


Rules:
1. The clan must have at least two active members

2. The notice must be in good taste and PG-rated


Prize: $2 billion cash to each clan member

Deadline: March 16, 2011, 6 PM EST

Sounds fun.

When I was admining the game I keep with Retto's heavily debated rule that the pass could not be in the crier. The believe was that even an open clan would force a new member to make some contact with the leadership. Still a rule?

As far as I know we still aren't enforcing that rule. I think it's okay in Squire's case, for example, because they are a teaching clan. But it is strongly advised that potential members contact an officer before joining.

Of course with the new clan request system, this will be unnecessary. =)

Yep, it's currently on Turbo and we've been getting good feedback about it.  :)

Yeah, it's great, although when someone asked me to join there clan I sat about for 2 days waiting to get the password, until they finally told me to send the request. haha.

Heh. That will probably happen a few times until players get used to the new system. In a few months, it will be natural.
