I think the other two who voted First Gen were Shadow and Rudder. Shadow should be First Era though.

You can play for a couple years then disappear for the better part of a decade until you one day remember that this exists.

It works out quite well.

I wanna say my first era number was NY Bombers (#315) or 317? I can't remember which.

We have more players now than we did five or six years ago. I see it all as a win, really.

I don't know about a thousand active, it was probably more like a couple of hundred. Nearly all of them came from parts of the ROC, and for most, once they'd played for a month or so, it was enough, and they decided to move on.

The ROC is nowhere near that active now, if at all, and I'd wager that at some point, many of them have found us, played for a bit, and left.

Whatever is still around now, it's nothing compared to what it was then. There were dozens and dozens of (active) club sites, role-play forums, etc. Unfortunately many of them are no longer around (a lot of them were on Geocities, or other hosts that have since deleted).
