Randy Pausch dies at 47

He died yesterday at 4 am. A very sad day for the world indeed. =(

For those of you who haven't been fortunate enough to hear about this man, he was a professor at Carnegie-Mellon who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was told he only had six months to live. (that was nine months ago)

He gave the following speech ("Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams") at Carnegie-Mellon and he has given inspiration and years-ahead-of-his-time advice to millions of people who has seen this lecture.

He leaves behind his wife, Jai, and three very young children.
