Yeah, as of now, if you leave a clan in any way (booted, disbanded, etc) you get the 72 hour penalty, so there's no way around it.

Eh, it's got upsides and downsides. Emping will be much harder, but then again, emping will be much harder.

That's the way it should be, I think...clans shouldn't be used like cheap kleenex. The point of clans is long-term alliance with other players, not readily-available benefits. That's how I see it anyway.
