1) The greens and reds ought to be altered so that green is always a good thing and red is always a bad thing (for example, -20% to costs would be green). I believe this would be helpful to some new players, and would be helpful for everyone to get an overall view of relative strengths and weaknesses.

2) Unless something fundamental has changed in the racial bonuses from when I was here a few months ago, the values in the mercenary category are incorrect--Rat, for one, is shown as having -40% to Mercenaries, while I know for a fact they actually receive +40%.

3) What the heck is going on with Stoat? They have absolutely /no/ racial weaknesses, and a /ton/ of racial strengths.

4) Also, just to avoid making a new topic, the create account/top ten pages for Turbo are busted. (And clicking on Game Guide takes you back to the old style).

Ya, windy said the race page was linked to the DB, but i don't think it is. To test i went and changed something slightly with the painted one race, and it didn't change the race page.

Stoat is:
Offense: 1.300
Defense: 1.000
Build: 1.500
Costs: 1.000
Loyalty: 0.900
Training: 1.100
Income: 1.100
Scouting: 1.400
Mercenaries: 1.000
Food: 1.200
Leadership: 1.000
Foraging: 1.000

Also keep in mind that the + and -'s don't add up for every race to be even. Thats because each attribute doesn't share nearly the same amount of value/power as the other, and because the particular values that each attribute has changes depending on the design of each race, so it would never end up to be equal that way.

Hmm, as for the design i'm not sure. The link to create account is working fine for me for turbo. Which page are you on when you try?

As for the More Options, it takes you to that page for now, we're making new pages for it and then it'll be a redirect. lots of people have those pages as their bookmarks, i would assume.

White Fang

Hrm...if that's correct, then the game guide for the races is /seriously/ screwed up, because that's quite a bit different than is listed for Stoat there.

Also, I do realize that they don't add up to be even, but--at least so far as the entry in the game guide was concerned--they had bonuses in many, many different fields, but absolutely /no/ counterbalancing weaknesses. None.

As for the create account page, it's not working from /any/ of the links that I've tried--neither from the homepage, nor from the old-style page. It redirects me to a new page, yes, but it's simply a blank black window. (I'm using IE, if that helps).

users are not allowed to edit guide pages
safety measure, prevents vandalism

the table in the game guide is not linked, its simply not possible with the new guide
I pulled the data, literally copy/pasted the whole thing, from a page that /did/ update directly from the database
it just means everytime a race is changed an admin will have to manually update the guide, not a big deal

as far as the colors go...  *shrug*
cgood = green
cbad = red
cneutral = white
have at it

The issue is also that some things are good for some people, and bad for others.

lowered mercinaries means the prices are lower for buying. Which is good for leader strats. But it also lowers the sell price, so it's bad for indy's.

White Fang

Well, yeah, but mercs is the only one that can be good /or/ bad, depending on your strat--all the others are definitely clear-cut.

Peace Alliance

not true. As your industry % is worth far less for a stoat then it is for a rat...

See, i could put leaders at like -80% for a rat and it isn't equal to +80% for a stoat...

White Fang

Right, but I'm not talking about balancing numbers, just putting color codes on things that are detractors and things that are bonuses (like it used to be). It'd make it much easier to compare the races.
