If it's the same issue, you'll get a lot of land when the enemy has defending forces. You'll get very little land when the enemy has no defending forces.

so if you were smart and the opponent had 0 of something say stoats and you bought 10 stoats and thats all you ahd you would have massive gain of land right? :|

na if you were smart youd find something the opponent had a few thousand of and buy just enough to break them... you get waaaay more land

I find it helpful to have one decent attacking troop, and simply aid the target a shipment before attacking.
