 Ok here's my idea. Instead of declaring the winner as the person who was #1-10 at the end of the set, why don't we rank them by who was at #1 for the most time. Or the top 10, for example:

Every 10 minutes you're in rank 1 you gain 10 points.
Every 10 minutes you're in rank 2 you gain 9 points;
Every 10 minutes you're in rank 3 you gain 8 points;
etc.

And then, whoever has the most points at the end wins the set? I think this would discourage people from storing grains on the market until the last day and such... Oh yeah, and the timer would start after X accounts get out of protection or after say 3 days?

Anyways, comments?

 This is a rather anti-food masser idea. :P

The problem is you won't stand much of a chance of winning if you join in the last two weeks because some people are in the top ten for almost the entire month.

It'd cool doing this for one round though.
The man
Of virtuous soul commands not, nor obeys:
Power, like a desolating pestilence,
Pollutes whate'er it touches, and obedience,
Bane of all genius, virtue, freedom, truth,
Makes slaves of men, and, of the human frame,
A mechanised automaton.

Yeah I thought of that. There's two ways to get around that.

1) Divide points by either time since account was formed OR divide by turns used. So if you joined and you got to  first in your second day (and held it) then you must be pretty good to do it in like a couple hundred turns.

2) Tell people to signup right away XD.

 Ok this is a double post but seriously... everyone complains about massers and then all they do is complain "let's lower grain value" if that isn't going to happen, try something else instead.

For every end, there is a new beginning.  This one shall have no endings, and no new beginnings shall come forth.

 Ever play Valhall Veranor?

They have the same thing to see who held the highest spots for the longest, but they use a 100 point scale.

I say:
1) Make it so that you can't remove goods from the market and they revert to you after 72 hours if unsold.

2) drop grain net.

I liked the set without leaders the most........

How about we have a set were everyone is put into a clan( 2 clans for every 10 ppl) they elect leaders and such and there is no way to leave a clan that way we can kill the storers......

Nope. I don't really play promisance. I just hang around the forums to try to be witty.

EDIT: and about the 72 hours thing.... can't I just get on in 3 days and send them back off again. Though (it would be dumb if I can't get it back)

But there are legit reasons to request your goods back. People just abused it... How about you take a hit on how much you get back? That + less net from grains would be super effective.

But, like I said before how many times have you guys asked to get grains lowered and nothing happened because everybody else says no?

EDIT:

Another idea (did we do this once? can't remember):

New building: silo. Silos control how much grain you can keep. Any excess is lost or has 0 effect on net?
Or the usual upkeep on food that is in some other games (or so I am told)...

Or silos could control how much can go on market. If you don't have enough export silos you can't put that much on the market. *shrug* just ideas. If this is such a big problem as everyone complains we need to brainstorm.

 Well I guess you could have it so that you could recall your goods anywhere up to 72 hours, but once it reaches 72 hour the go back to you.
