Eat the Cow?

"A large dairy animal approached Zaphod Beeblebrox's table, a large fat meaty quadruped of the bovine type with large watery eyes, small horns and what might almost have been an ingratiating smile on its lips.

'A very wise choice, sir, if I may say so.  Very good,' it [the cow] said.  'I'll just nip off and shoot myself.'
He turned and gave a friendly wink to Arthur.
'Dont worry, sir,' he said.  'I'll be very humane.'"

yeah..  I'm now re-reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book sierries..  and I've come across this part..  and was wondering what yall would do..  hehe..  if you havnt read the books, they are quite good..  this is from book 2, The Restaurant at the end of the Universe starting at page 102..

 I'd just eat him, cause I can't eat pork and I don't like seafood (we don't eat pork cause I gotta Bosnian great grandma, so orthodox but no pork) so I'd be willing to withstand a little grossness cause all I can have is Beef and Chicken (mad cow and bird flu, *whimpers*) and it would take alot to take my sparse variety of meats away.

 Dude, my grandparents owned a farm. They ate their cows, they gave them NAMES... I'm serious. We'd sit around the table and my Grandma would say, so which part you want of old Bessie? Which is why I say.. MMMMMMM Cow........

I would at first stop, pause, ask him how he learned to talk.  Then I would be friends with him and grasp him and run off with him to a place where he could be treated for his odd behavior.
