why the hell does it take 6 hours for food to reach the market? farmers cannot compete if they have to wait that long to cash in then re-defend themselves ;P

The delay is there to stop people from using the market to aid their allies. If you build camps, however, the wait time can be reduced to as little as 30 minutes.
