 I'd go for ferrets. 10% bonus to offense and defense, and a -10% bonus to mercenary costs.  

 Basically, this is for those who want to do random diplomatic stuff, but can't be bothered to use the messages (or use up their credits too quickly :rolleyes: ). Pester about alliances, joining, etc. here.
