Reg Discussion / Re: Is 3.0 ready for reg?

why the hell does it take 6 hours for food to reach the market? farmers cannot compete if they have to wait that long to cash in then re-defend themselves ;P

3 hour minimum

Food consumption is absurdly high. As i run i find needing 1billion food per 100k land to run. now, thats fine if i have it. but i dont. mercs yields very little. and there is literally no food on public market. i actually would be glad to pay 20$ for food  if it was just available but it is not lol

SOOOOO my suggestion increase the output of farms/foragers.  When indying i can build as little as 20% farms and be in the green. so if to make farming part of the meta, increase the output by at least twice or even three times what it is. or just dramatically increase food output when farms is around a certain percentage to land like 70%. so agri-indies notice a very small difference but actual wolves and ferrets who are made to farm would become viable strategies. also i would only farm with wolf since it can also competently  switch to all leaders to well do leader things ;)
so make wolf a decent farmer and a ferret a much more potent farmer since it has less security from steals/rob granaries.

*and Increase drive power: more land gain i think it is at 15% so 30% and then downside extra troop losses at 15% to 30%

Rats OP vs DP ratio is problematic

I think if you increased the rate in losses for rats, when attacking and defending by 2 or 3 times the rate of what it is now would help balance rat mono-stacking herp-derp. more turns to build the lost rats. and more incentive to build weasels or skiffs to defend from standard attacks.

i indy up around 30 mil rats with 50% guard towers towards the end of my runs and get broken relatively easily. like omg only one successful defended attack?

also chaos is underpowered. it should do so much more damage. it takes less land for a reason to obliterate their troops.
maybe increase the overall troop loss for each unit in the game? i remember standard attacking empires to death and they still had troops around attack number 150.... and i had overkill in offense.  i think 100 successful standard attacks should wipe their troops completely

Tents should be relevant in the everyday run. maybe house more workers?
camps seem pretty useless as well.

What will it be?

May I suggest, no aid, no clan, hidden public market round?

Could be interesting, and i doubt land will get locked ;)

Who is the best indier? Is it Lucy/Geneveive?

Hmm this topic is subjective, but from my experience:

Gen is a great producer, consistent enough to have contributed 6.3 billion networth in the last storehouse round. (although, this was quite a long time ago..)

Kilkenne has made his mark as the King of Northlands for the 2.0 code. Nuff said (sadly he does not play anymore)

Sevz runs a vicious, relentless indy empire, he has superb transitional abilities as well, meaning he can hybird his strategies into any build, and produce at its zenith every run.  Great leader/mage builds when playing indy as well, if left unchecked, he can and eventually will lock land in the set at some point.

Snare: Arguably one of the best players here at Redwall. Has mastered the 3.0 code in a very short amount of time.  His indying is ungodly, for last set I witnessed some impressive numbers on him and on his public market. Utilizing only very little land and few resources to run off..

Ryu: dunno, seems like a total n00b to me, he can produce alright, but didnt impress me last set or this set.

Pippin; Great producer, pretty inactive player though, but even when behind makes insane networth jumps.

Everyone else: dunno, I dont know many people that well, or have seen them indy enough to make a decisive judgement.

Now, Sevz brings up some great points. But, if you were to determine the undisputed all-time indy player, well, thats not possible. Many great indys in the world of promisance, many inactive and no longer play.  A few at other sites, and a few randomly sign-up every now and then throughout the year.  Point is itd be unreasonably difficult to bring the "best" to one website, let alone one server.

But, with the old 2.0 code about thrown to the garbage bin of yester-year, it is reasonable that, with some emails and messages throughout the promisance world, Redwall can hold a tournament to determine not just the best indy player, but the best leader player as well, or perhaps the best of the 2 strategies of the 2.0 code.

Tournament rules would be: NO Foreign Aid, NO clans, NO teamwork. Period.  All solo runs throughout the set, and a hidden public market would promote solidarity. 22 hitlimits, with 2 every game hour is great.

I itch at the chance to enter such a set, and I bet many of you feel the same way.
