Quote from: lonewolf1817so peace get off my case and everyone else your going to get a post form #38 about how bad i am cuz i took him down....im not bad if you realy want to know waht happened sned me a mail
And here it is (#38 here, and I have a name...)

LoneWolf, the only reason you don't need land, is because you found some silly lame excuse to break an alliance with me, and take my land. all damg I ever did to you I offered to repay 110% back, but no, you took, and took, and took some more, and still had the arogence to claim it was all "fare" and that I broke the alliance with you...what a baby, at least call it what it was, a lame attempt at easy land.

Quote from: HolbyHmm, interesting. It appears that if you don't play Regular, you don't play Turbo! Generally, anyway.
Actually *slips in a vote* 15% of of us only play Turbo according to the most recent polls.

and what defines active in the forum? I'm in and out of here at least once a day if not more, I just don't actually post all that often, I don't feel a need most times.

No I don't think this post will be helpful, but here goes anyway :)

Turbo Discussion / Turbo server not working out
April 02, 2003, 08:44:56 PM
 Armed Forces(#4) currently 75,288 land -   $65,080,212

just shoved me back below 10 million (when I was up to 15 million) with 10 attacks. lost 600,000 stoats....

I'm just about to give up on this game.

Turbo Discussion / Turbo server not working out
April 02, 2003, 05:42:21 PM
last round it may have been possible to break some of the top guys. but this round is stacking up to being impossible. as wolf bite said, they have banded together, anyone of us that does break them and bring some of the land down, will only lose it right back to them, and in turn a lot of our armies.

I made it to 4th place a few times, but every time I'd get knocked back down to 4000 land by wolf bite. wolf bites most recent attack not only took me back down to 4000 land, he also killed 400,000 of my stoats. no small thing considering I was 15 mil, but no real big thing to him Im sure, he is 63 million after all.

so now I find myself back to 8 million, 4 thousand land, and basically where I was 48 hours ago, forced to attack the players around me, gather land, *TRY* and rebuild my troops, only to loose it to wolf bite who will raid me 15 times right about the time I log off.

the thing that makes this game fun is that you you have hope of rising to the top, and maybe getting close. without that chance, the game turns into an incredible waste of time where all I do is gather land to make it easier for the top 3 to take it.

Not to whine or anything ;)
but I'm thinking somehting needs to change in the turbo server. the entire game is played in the first 48 hours, and after that you have the top 2 or 3 guys and a bunch much smaller guys getting farmed. all the land pools in the top 3 guys, and never comes back down.
just look at the top ten, it's pretty obvious.

1   Xenocide (#13)                   100,234   $92,308,971
2   Armed Forces (#4)               74,465    $57,291,079
3   wolf bite (#9)                        61,916   $51,636,540
4   Ereptor's Raiders (#25)        18,128   $17,548,809
5   Earendil Star (#38)                 8,319   $10,653,031
6   Swarming Hordes (#45)        7,675   $10,610,502
7   Bringers of Darkness (#66) 10,631   $10,066,450
8   Blood Wake (#40)                   9,330   $  9,632,453
9   Vientoperros ll (#22)               7,531   $  9,550,768
10   (#18)                                     5,231   $  8,803,627

it is starting to lack the fun factor it used to have...
anyone have ideas about how to fix this?

General Discussion / Bandwidth Exceeded
April 01, 2003, 09:10:57 AM
any site connected to iboze.com has been giving me a "bandwidth exceeded" message every time I've tried to excess it in the last 48 hours.

this has caused a lot of missed turns on the turbo server, and it would seem that people were able to attack me during that time. just curious if everyone was getting this message.

Admins want to comment on what was up?

Help / Bugs / Raising Raiders
March 10, 2003, 09:35:07 AM
so after failing again I tried that strat, I sold off all my huts and tried again. this time 4000 leaders were leaving per turn because I had no huts, and I *STILL* lost the self spell.

I'm getting frustrated...I'm also getting low on loyalty and leaders now...

Help / Bugs / Raising Raiders

so, after finding a few people that I need to "raise raiders" in order to attack, I go to the generals hut, and attempt to "Prepare raiders" for myself.

I thought that because this is a self spell, you know, just going out and calling in a few raiders for a lot of loyalty, that the success rate would be 100%....
WRONG.

I've failed twice now to "prepare raiders", the second time around I lost 4663  leaders, not to mention my loyalty, while FAILING to prepare raiders for myself....the guide says JS about this subject.

so, what all effects the success rate of this?

Help / Bugs / Net Income Questions
March 03, 2003, 01:01:28 PM
Although this topic should of been in the help topic, but let go.

well, I wanted it to be discussed. it's not like I need the help, or it's a newb question... I doubt anyone except the creators really has the exact answer. but we could all do some testing and find this out perhaps.

Did I miss anything out peeps?

yeah, you did miss something, my point :D
I was talking about NET INCOME, not NET WORTH. I'm talking about how much money a person makes per turn. which has to do with total profit minus total expenses.

and what I wanted to know was what all effects those two figures (profit and expenses).

for example, how many markets do I need to build in order to offset the cost of building 50 guard towers? that's the kinda question that needs answers with NUMBERS, not what the Game Guild gives us, which is "markets give you money". hardly helpful past the basic...

Thanks for your post though :)

Help / Bugs / Net Income Questions
March 03, 2003, 09:45:21 AM
I'm handling it quite well so far, but it's still magic to me.
what ALL effects you net income, and how can you calculate what will, and how much, something will effect it?

Markets - a good thing, but how good?

Tents - increases population, but how much? how many more "workers" can a tent hold compared to unused land. how many total workers do you have? and how much money does a "worker" give you?

Camps - again, no specifics on this either, only that it reduces military cost.

Barracks - no reducing income...but do barracks have a financial obligation once built? do they increase expenses?

Huts - what about huts?

Foragers - and foragers?

Guard Towers - these guys I know increase expenses a LOT, I have quite a few of them, it killed my income for a long time until I could recoup with tents and camps. any ideas on HOW much they actually effect expenses?

what about other unaccounted for increase and decrease in net income?
I watched my income over 40 or so ticks. and it would climb....I thought this was due to getting more workers...but for quite a few turns my net income actually dropped, even though I was still gaining workers. any ideas?
(note that I just punched in 40 turns to loot, I wasn't able to change anything during those 40 turns in order to make it fluctuate up and down).

now to see what can be said :)
Thanks in advance!!
