Development / Re: Fixing maxing
August 22, 2008, 01:17:09 PM
How about this--slim the attacking margins a good bit? IE--max attack is 10x and min attack is 0.1x. Add to that, a minimal number of troops needed to attack with. Or, lose 3% of your soldiers in addition to the percentage lost because of NW--so that failing automatically loses 3%.

I could remind you of last round when you thought someone would admit to cheating then after they're reported for that admitting to hacking their net...besides, if someone could hack net they'd hack trillions of trillions :D wow you sure aren't gullibal!
I can't see what the admins can see, so best off to have them check that BS you tried to pull. Oh well--I really don't care. What I wanted accomplished was accomplished--they took a second look and it was OK'd.

Tell me something that will accurately describe it, and I'll substitute that in next time I refer to something similar. I'm still at a loss for words to accurately describe it.

Woohoo! Welcome back Shael. Do note the bug reports--and I noticed that Imperium's issue with validation does NOT seem to be present here this round (I checked just because :P), but I have noticed other issues.

It needs a fresh install sans Dell's BS they load on every machine. Just like HP, they load  them up with worthless crap. Other than that, a good antispyware and antivirus will keep a system running well. So many people think Vista's junk, but it's really not. I own and use Vista 64-bit. My laptop, an EeePC 900, runs WinXP. For what I do, this new laptop on such an old platform is plenty. I'm more tempted to upgrade for more storage space than for speed.

Not going to happen. People don't trust corporations--so nobody will trust a major company with all the data they have. There's enough uproar against Google's profiling of its users. The industry's actually slowing down for now. The average user has more than enough power in their computers to do whatever the average person does--internet, email, instant messaging, and simple web games. Until there are more compelling reasons to buy a new computer, many people will let their systems get older. You can't talk to that crowd easily, as Microsoft is finding out. XP was so long lived that the user become comfortable--so Vista or no Vista, the average user still has no reason to replace those old P4 desktops.

tut-tut naughty trying to get around the filters bad boy! >:(
this is the kinda stuff alazar would get insulted for lol
Yea yea I have a copy of the convo you were certain "I've messaged 1# out of game" the real feng kestrel was laughing his head off ;)
I don't see how I'm "trying to get around the filters". I typed what I typically would say. Other than that, I'm sure that he'll have a heck of a time defending 235k land later.

If bob hadn't maxed him out with murders early this morning, I would have unlocked the land in time. However, with him being maxed, me and Pip could not strike.
I was opening him up so some indy could break free the land with or without the help of a leader. I was always short on ratios--I simply couldn't do anything about it. Not my fault--I was acting alone and before I found out about vacation mode. I've been gone for the past 18 or so hours too--plenty of chances to knock free the land.
you know, you should always check you can op atk someone before you randomly murder when they're not clanned...
If you say so. I suicided enough to be able to murder. I found out he was completely unshielded, so my murders were doing some real damage. You could have had the foresight to have suicided himself before. I finished out of range--oh well. I didn't expect him to turn coward and try vacation mode.
heh better a coward who lives to fight another day then a pwned hero...
I could remind of you the previous-to-last turbo round where you grabbed land and deleted. Same idea--just he better return or the admins will put a lot of land on the land farm. Oh well--runs won't be much different for me.

#7 after cloaking for a round put me on pretty solid ground. I could have done so much more with 2 more weeks.

I'm not working with Kell--and both our NWs together wouldn't get a #1 spot. Oh well--I've been playing around a bit.
